We are currently seeking an experienced Korean-speaking Chef to support a high-profile event taking place in the Maldives this May. This is a seasonal engagement of approximately one month and requires a hands-on, confident professional capable of delivering high-quality Korean cuisine within a high-volume setting.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working extended hours in a remote destination environment and thrive in a fast-paced, event-driven operation.​

The appointed Chef will be responsible for planning, preparing, and executing authentic Korean cuisine for a large-scale event. This includes full menu development, preparation oversight, and managing service delivery during high-volume periods. The role requires maintaining exceptional food quality and presentation standards, ensuring strict adherence to hygiene and food safety regulations, and coordinating kitchen workflow effectively. The Chef must be confident catering to diverse guest profiles, including families and children, while adapting to the operational demands of a remote island environment.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Sous Chef level experience or equivalent background within high-volume kitchens

  • Fluent Korean speaker with strong knowledge of authentic Korean cuisine

  • Proven ability to plan, prepare, and execute menus for large-scale events

  •  Confident working extended hours in remote, fast-paced environments
