This is a rare opportunity for an experienced, hands-on Chief Engineer to take ownership of the technical heartbeat of a stunning private estate in the Caribbean. You’ll be responsible for everything from buildings and infrastructure to marine assets, docks, and vehicles, all within a fast-paced, tropical environment where no two days are the same.

This role is perfect for someone who loves being on the tools but also thrives on planning, improving systems, and running projects. You’ll lead the maintenance team, set smart preventative maintenance schedules, and make sure everything runs safely, smoothly, and reliably.

Details

You’ll oversee all estate systems including power, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, irrigation, and generators, as well as the maintenance and readiness of boats, docks, and marine equipment. You’ll manage the maintenance team and contractors, plan and deliver preventative maintenance programmes, oversee projects and upgrades, control budgets and capex, and ensure full compliance with safety and environmental standards, all while keeping the estate operating at the highest level.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • 7–10+ years’ experience in private estates, marine, yachting, or resort environments with a strong marine engineering background

  • Hands-on engineer with strong planning, preventative maintenance, and project management skills

  • Proven leader with experience managing teams and contractors

  • Caribbean experience and comfort working in remote, logistically challenging environments (essential)
     

​Salary $90-100k + flights + housing + medical
