An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Assistant Maintenance Manager to join the engineering team at a luxury resort in Turks & Caicos. This role is ideal for a hands-on maintenance professional with strong leadership experience within Caribbean hospitality, looking to take the next step in a high-performing resort environment.
Working alongside the Maintenance Manager and wider engineering leadership team, you will oversee the day-to-day maintenance operation across the resort, ensuring all facilities, guest rooms, plant equipment, and infrastructure are maintained to the highest operational and safety standards. You will lead and support a team of maintenance technicians while helping to deliver exceptional guest experiences through efficient and proactive maintenance practices.

You will be responsible for supervising preventative maintenance programmes, coordinating repairs across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, pools, utilities, and resort infrastructure, while monitoring maintenance schedules, budgets, work orders, and inventory. The role also includes liaising with contractors, implementing health and safety procedures, supporting emergency response programmes, and contributing to the continuous improvement of engineering systems and operational efficiency.

Qualifications/Experience:

5+ years' experience within Caribbean hospitality engineering or maintenance operations (essential)

Proven experience supervising maintenance teams within a luxury hotel or resort environment

Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, generators, pumps, wastewater treatment, pools, and preventative maintenance programmes

Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills with experience using hotel maintenance management systems
Salary $46k + Service Charge + Housing
