Details
The Assistant Financial Controller ensures full accuracy of the profit and loss statements, maintains up-to-date invoices and tax compliance, and delivers financial reports within required deadlines. The role monitors actual versus projected sales, issues daily management reports, and conducts detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts. It supports departmental leaders in controlling operational costs and labour, while providing analytical insight for budget planning and business reviews.

The position oversees financial controls, asset safeguarding, and compliance with all standard operating procedures. It also supports the executive leadership team with financial guidance, implements risk-management controls, and ensures adherence to owner reporting requirements. The Assistant Financial Controller contributes to the development of the annual business plan, manages cash flow and working capital, and produces accurate forecasting to support business decisions. Additional responsibilities include oversight of internal and external audit processes, leadership of the fixed-asset framework, stakeholder communication, and facilitating departmental financial conversations. Operating in a remote, high-demand environment, the role requires strong leadership, a proactive approach, and the ability to work long and intense hours when needed.

Qualifications/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

2+ years of experience in finance or accounting (resort experience preferred)
