Acting as the daily operational lead, the Assistant Chief Engineer oversees MEP systems, utilities, and preventative maintenance programs while coordinating with internal teams and external contractors to minimize downtime and extend asset life. The role includes monitoring utilities, contributing to CAPEX planning, managing maintenance staff, resolving complex plant equipment issues, and ensuring compliance with building codes and HSE protocols. Regular interaction with the General Manager, department heads, and regulatory bodies ensures transparent reporting, accurate project execution, and strong collaboration across departments to support 24/7 resort operations.

Qualifications/Experience:

5+ years’ hospitality engineering experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role

Strong technical expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and large plant equipment (chillers, boilers, desalination)

Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or Construction Management (certifications such as BOMI/IFMA preferred)

Proficiency with CMMS platforms (e.g., HotSOS, Transcendent, Quore) and working knowledge of building codes and HSE standards
Salary $40k + housing
